Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Digby Smith!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
18 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Adam Morley!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Steve Smith and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morley misses with a takedown
and Smith counters with a nice uppercut.
Smith leaves Morley with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Smith throws a jab when Morley was well out of range.
Morley comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Morley lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Morley shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Morley looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Smith with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Smith wants to get back to full guard.
Smith's coaches at The Good Stuff have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position.
Morley lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Smith has his hands clasped together around Morley's back. He's all about the action.

Smith is trying to get back to full guard.
Morley is taking a breather. Smith says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Morley thows a huge punch but Smith dodges it nicely.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Morley lands strikes from half guard.
Smith is trying to maintain the position but Morley is very close to passing his half guard.
Morley tries to pass the half guard into mount. Smith knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Morley is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Smith tries to roll over but Morley keeps him under control.

Smith tries to get to full guard but Morley has control of the leg.
Smith is trying to control but Morley manages to pass to mount!
Smith wants to control but Morley is having none of it.
Morley is landing with some decent strikes but Smith is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Smith is trying desperately to improve position.

Morley softens up his opponent with a couple of shots there and then CRACK! One massive shot lands there and Smith is out cold! Morley jumps to his feet and celebrates on the cage with the fans, who are, quite frankly, going absolutely mental!
