The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Morin fails to land the takedown.
Morin tries to close the distance and clinch but Waterlow swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Hanson Waterlow seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Waterlow throws a body kick that misses.
A chopping leg kick lands by Waterlow.
Morin shoots in but Waterlow avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Morin shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Josue Morin. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Morin shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Waterlow pinned against the cage. Waterlow gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Waterlow lands a nice leg kick that just misses Morin's sensitive parts.

Horrible takedown attempt by Morin or perhaps it was just good defense by Waterlow, which made it look bad.
Morin swings for the body but Waterlow moves out of range.
Waterlow tries to counter with a clinch but Morin shakes him off and moves away.
A head kick misses from Waterlow.
Waterlow looks to land a combination but Morin avoids it well.
Waterlow lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Waterlow scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

It looks like Josue Morin has been cut.
Waterlow pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Morin back to the cage. Waterlow follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Morin throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Despite the aggression on Waterlow's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Morin takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Morin throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Hanson Waterlow is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Waterlow moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Waterlow bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Morin takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Morin is breathing heavily.
Waterlow misses with a wild combination.
Morin fails with the takedown.
Morin seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Waterlow shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Morin is backing up but Waterlow catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Morin covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Waterlow Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!
