Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
davis uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Potter.
A telegraphed right hand from davis misses the target.

davis drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
davis wants to control for a moment but Potter uses the opportunity to move back to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
davis is trying to get back to full guard.
Potter tries to stand but his arm is trapped.

davis looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.

davis wants to control but Potter is keeping busy and won't allow it.

davis has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Potter can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Potter wants to stand but davis has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

davis escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Potter gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Harry Potter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Potter throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

A decent looking body kick lands there for Potter.
Good leg kick by Potter there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
davis moves forwards but Potter connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Potter throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent davis stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Potter lands a nice leg kick that just misses davis's sensitive parts.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
davis fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Harry Potter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of marcus davis.
Potter throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

davis has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Potter finds it's way round the side to connect with davis's head.

davis throws a front kick that sends Potter stumbling back into the cage.
A lazy left from davis finds it's target.
davis connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Potter momentarily.
Potter tries to move into range but davis moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Potter takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

and davis counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

davis drives through and clinches with Potter against the cage.
davis tries to land a knee to the head but Potter blocks with his arms.
davis throws an elbow but it's blocked.

Potter breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Potter throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and davis cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
davis shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Potter but Potter pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Potter lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

and Potter takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Potter cracks davis with a good jab.
Harry Potter is winning the standup battle so far.

davis scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Potter knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for davis on the ground.
davis looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Potter is avoiding damage well.
davis misses with the ground and pound.

davis tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no davis has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

The referee asks davis politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. davis prefers to stall for the moment though.
davis tries to move to full mount but Potter actually manages to regain half guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Potter wants to get back to his feet.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

davis closes the distance and clinches.
Potter trying to control the position but instead, davis has worked for underhooks and has pushed Potter into the cage.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

davis is working an open guard so Potter takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Potter walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

davis connects with a nice looking jab.
davis tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Potter walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
davis stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Potter.
davis looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Potter is fending him off so far but davis persists. Nope, Potter circles away and we're back to standing.
Potter takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.

davis bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Potter throws the kick towards the body but davis avoids it.

and davis counters with a shoot takedown. Potter fights it but they end up in guard.

davis is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Potter is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Potter has escaped and now he's on top!

davis is striking from the bottom but he's now found himself mounted! Oh dear - not enough focus on defense there.
davis manages to regain half guard. Good work.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Potter is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
davis thuds his right hand into Potter's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Potter throws a low kick but it's checked well by davis.
