Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jamison Moss!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Alessio Di Mero!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Valeri Chadov and Aleksandr Martynov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Di Mero has taken the fight to the clinch.
Moss tries to score a body lock takedown but Di Mero shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Di Mero breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Di Mero shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Moss has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Di Mero is working away from the top position though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Di Mero slips a nice elbow through Moss's hands, connecting with Moss's forehead.
Moss is trying to get back to full guard.

Di Mero is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Moss doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Di Mero.
Di Mero content to control rather than advance.

Moss pushes Di Mero off but Di Mero dives into side control.

Di Mero is working Moss over with some ground and pound from side control.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
Moss can't do much from the bottom here.
Di Mero connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Moss some visible discomfort.
Di Mero has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Di Mero is trying to get an arm triangle but Moss is defending well.
Di Mero slows the pace down.

Moss tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Moss takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Di Mero is staying tight to Moss's torso, preventing him from escaping.
It looks like Di Mero might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Di Mero's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Moss is not content to let Di Mero control the position.
You can see the frustration on Moss's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Moss is looking to reverse the position.
Moss is working hard here to advance position.
Di Mero lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Di Mero controls the position from side control.
Di Mero wants to stand but Moss has his arm trapped.
Moss is trying to improve his position.
Di Mero lands a nice forearm strike.

Moss really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Di Mero tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Moss can't do much from the bottom here.
A bit of a lull in the action here.
Di Mero tries to move to mount but Moss blocks the move with his legs.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Moss seems a little lost for a moment, as Di Mero dominates the positioning.
Di Mero throwing shots but missing, from side control.
Moss wants to control but Di Mero postures up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Moss's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Di Mero goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

Di Mero has managed to clinch.

Di Mero pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Moss avoids a wild elbow strike from Di Mero.

Di Mero's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Di Mero manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Moss on his heels. He'll look to pass Moss's guard now, I'm sure.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Di Mero throws a big right hand that misses.

Moss knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Di Mero on the ground.
Di Mero takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Moss is looking to get back to full guard here but Di Mero has managed to pass to side control instead.
