Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Marquis Burns (ranked 25657 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eliezer Kubanza (ranked 8521 p4p, 0 weight class). Eliezer Kubanza will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Marquis Burns!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Eliezer Kubanza!
The judges for this bout are Ben Watson, Ben Hemmingworth and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kubanza gets a double leg takedown into Burns's guard.
Burns pushes Kubanza off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Kubanza throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Burns was covering up waiting for the punch and Kubanza finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Kubanza got a little sloppy there for a moment and Burns has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kubanza has managed to get both his arms back between Burns's legs - danger averted.
Burns will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Kubanza is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Burns has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Kubanza is looking to defend but Burns has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Kubanza! Burns pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Kubanza taps out and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Marquis Burns!
