EMP Night of Champions PBP Commentary


Coming up we have a lightweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between David Morrison (ranked 2421 p4p, 274 weight class) and Antonio Camatta (ranked 489 p4p, 60 weight class). Morrison comes to the cage accompanied by Diary of a Madman. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the lightweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of New York, with a TWGC record of 13 wins and 7 losses; David Morrison! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Montreal, with a TWGC record of 9 wins and 9 losses; Antonio Camatta!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Paul Tew and Phil Schofield.

Morrison fails with the takedown.
Morrison leaves Camatta with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Morrison shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Camatta sprawls well. Camatta wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Morrison gets slowly back to his feet.
Morrison shoots in looking for a takedown. Camatta tries to sprawl out of it but Morrison keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Camatta manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Morrison throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Camatta escapes and throws Morrison's legs to the side, diving into side control!

A less than humble Antonio Camatta misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
