Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mark Tyme (ranked 2575 p4p, 231 weight class) and Dimitri Kowalchuk (ranked 2613 p4p, 236 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Tyme might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Here Comes The Money. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mark Tyme !
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dimitri Kowalchuk!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Roger Salmon and Ryoma Takatsuka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kowalchuk closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Kowalchuk lands in his opponent's guard.

Tyme seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Kowalchuk drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Tyme dives on top into guard.

Tyme is staying tight to Kowalchuk's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Kowalchuk is looking to reverse the position.
Tyme remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Tyme looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Tyme is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Kowalchuk can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

Tyme is nestled in close to Kowalchuk, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Tyme throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Kowalchuk tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Tyme is in Kowalchuk's guard.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Mark Tyme .
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Tyme , winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
