The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carlitos shoots in but no luck this time.
Nice sprawl there from DeFoe as Carlitos shoots in.
DeFoe connects with a looping right hand.

It looks like Alexandre Carlitos has been cut.
Carlitos shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Carlitos shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts DeFoe as he jumps to the side.
Carlitos takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Carlitos is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by DeFoe.

Carlitos throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Carlitos moves into range and connects with a jab.
DeFoe ducks under a wild hook from Carlitos .
Willem DeFoe is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Carlitos slips under a jab from DeFoe.
Carlitos avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
DeFoe bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Carlitos misses with a two punch combination.
Carlitos looks to throw the jab but DeFoe is out of range.
Carlitos changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. DeFoe tries to avoid it but Carlitos manages to keep hold of a leg and drag DeFoe to the ground. DeFoe escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Carlitos .

DeFoe uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Carlitos .

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Carlitos shoots for a double leg takedown but DeFoe sprawls well. He's pushed Carlitos 's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Carlitos tries for a takedown but DeFoe sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Carlitos slips a jab from DeFoe.
DeFoe connects with a right hand. Carlitos shakes it off.
DeFoe sends Carlitos crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! DeFoe is motioning to the referee to let Carlitos up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Carlitos is rocked!
DeFoe moves in close and cracks Carlitos with a massive right hand! Carlitos , frozen momentarily in time, tumbles to the canvas, already out cold! A brutal knockout by DeFoe!
