The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Daniel Cesar and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Emerson drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Emerson trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Westing wants to stand and escape but Emerson is having none of it.
Westing really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Emerson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Emerson controls from within his opponent's guard.
Westing is looking to stand up but Emerson isn't so interested in that idea.
Emerson slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Westing wants to get back to his feet but Emerson drags him back down.
Westing striking from the bottom but nothing landed.
Emerson happy to just control the position for now.
Westing strikes from the bottom but Emerson takes advantage and advances to full mount!

Westing is trying to escape the mount but Emerson keeps good control and instead manages to take Westing's back.
Westing is trying to get back to his feet but Emerson has full control of the position and if anything, Westing has just worked his way into a worse spot.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Westing is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Gabriel Emerson just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
Westing misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Westing lands a jab followed by a vicious hook that sends Emerson sprawling to the canvas. Westing follows him down, looking for the kill. Can Emerson hang on?
It looks like Gabriel Emerson has been cut.
