Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Chanson Webster (ranked 6144 p4p, 544 weight class) and Santos Maricone (ranked 6635 p4p, 569 weight class). Chanson Webster had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 172.0lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Chanson Webster looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Webster misses with a takedown attempt
enabling Maricone to counter with a crisp jab.

It looks like Chanson Webster has been cut.
Maricone looks to throw the jab but Webster is out of range.
Webster tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Maricone swivels and escapes.
Webster uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Maricone.
Webster uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Maricone.
Webster connects with a high kick.
Webster has his takedown stuffed
and Maricone counters with a straight right hand.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chanson Webster. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Webster darts in looking for a takedown but Maricone gets double underhooks and turns Webster into the cage.
Webster is breathing heavily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Webster misses with a head kick.
Maricone swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Webster is looking to counter the offense by Maricone and move into the clinch.
Maricone wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Maricone scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Webster doesn't seem bothered though.

Maricone cracks Webster with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Webster looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Maricone finish him?

Maricone tries a head kick but it misses.
Crack! Maricone connects with the perfect overhand right and Webster falls face first to the canvas. Timbeeeeeeeer! Beautiful knockout for Maricone!
