And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rowler misses with a takedown
and Da Silva cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Rowler wants to clinch.

Da Silva moves into the clinch.
Rowler is looking to control Da Silva 's arms but Da Silva gets an underhook and turns him. Now Rowler has his back to the cage.

Da Silva gets control of Rowler's arms and successfully pulls guard. Da Silva will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Da Silva is looking to stand up but Rowler isn't so interested in that idea.
Da Silva keeping moving, preventing Rowler from controlling successfully.
Rowler is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Da Silva pulls Rowler in close to his closed guard and prevents Rowler from doing any damage or advancing position.
Rowler really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Da Silva . If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Da Silva is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Da Silva is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Rowler!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Da Silva sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
The referee warns Rowler that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Rowler tries to lock up and control but Da Silva gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Da Silva takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Rowler tries to control the position but Da Silva now has his back.

Da Silva has his arm under Rowler's chin here. Game over son! Da Silva squeezes tightly and Rowler is forced to tap out!
