The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Horn blocks a head kick by Sykes.

Sykes looking to score a takedown here. Horn is defending well but Sykes drives through and ends up in Horn's guard.
Sykes is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Sykes wants to control from the top but Horn keeps moving.
Sykes stops Horn from standing up.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Horn is trying to stand up here but Sykes is controlling him well.

Sykes is trying to work for a kimura but Horn is defending well.
Sykes stops Horn from getting back to his feet.

Horn knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sykes on the ground.
Sykes thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Horn's head.
Sykes keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Sykes prevents Horn from improving his position.
Sykes seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Horn does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Sykes is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Sykes stops Horn from getting back to his feet.
Horn has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Sykes is working away from the top position though.

Horn looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Sykes pushes past his half guard into mount!
Horn is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Sykes lands a heavy elbow.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Horn is looking to improve his position but Sykes isn't that keen on the idea.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Sykes jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Horn manages to avoid the submission attempt.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Sykes looks up at the clock and then as Horn takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Sykes smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Horn is rocked!

Horn is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Sykes's leg. Oh but that's left an opportunity for Sykes! He's got an arm triangle... it looks tight! He's rotating and Horn has tapped! This one is allllll over!
