Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chuck Liddell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnnie Lao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lao has chosen Drowning Pool - Let The Bodies Hit The Floor as his entrance music. Johnnie Lao is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Chuck Liddell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Johnnie Lao!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Alan Glass and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Liddell misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Lao looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Lao tries to pass to full mount but Liddell defends it.

Lao is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Liddell can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Lao wants to take Liddell's back but he can't do it this time.

Lao has hold of Liddell's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Liddell manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Liddell really wants to buck Lao off and get back to his feet.
Liddell trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

Lao shoots in looking for a takedown. Liddell tries to sprawl out of it but Lao keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Liddell manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
