The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Braveheart darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Mishima is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Braveheart really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Mishima. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Braveheart must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Braveheart can do anything to dispel that myth.

Mishima has hold of Braveheart's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Braveheart tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Mishima cranks the arm and Braveheart screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Braveheart, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
