Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ricardo Limoncello (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kurt Angle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Limoncello comes to the cage accompanied by Swamped - Lacuna Coil. Angle is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by TNA Kurt. Kurt Angle acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ricardo Limoncello!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kurt Angle!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, John Mangel and Summer Carpenter.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Angle fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Angle shoots in but no luck this time.
Limoncello tries to clinch there but Angle circles away.
Angle shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Ricardo Limoncello has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kurt Angle.
Limoncello tries to close the distance and clinch up but Angle swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Angle looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Limoncello!
Angle throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Limoncello because Angle loaded up on that one.
Limoncello wants to hold on but Angle pushes him away.
Angle postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Limoncello looks a forlorn figure.
Limoncello really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Limoncello is working hard here to advance position.

Limoncello wants to control but Angle is having none of it.
Limoncello keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Limoncello avoids a strike by Angle and manages to complete a very nice reversal in the process, to end up in Angle's guard! Fantastic escape!
Angle tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Angle wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Limoncello manages to pass to side control.

Limoncello is trying to control the action in half guard but Angle is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Angle tries to roll over but Limoncello keeps him under control.
Angle looks like he's trying to stand up.
Angle wants to improve his position but Limoncello is controlling well.
Limoncello is trying to control. Angle wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Limoncello wants to stand but Angle has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Limoncello fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Angle, pushing him back against the cage.
Angle takes a shot to the head.
Limoncello misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Angle.
A nice right hand lands inside from Limoncello.
Limoncello tries to land knees in the clinch but Angle avoids the damage to the body.
Limoncello fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Limoncello digs a right hand into Angle's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Angle's gas tank.
Limoncello misses with a short punch on the inside.
Angle is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Limoncello pulls him back up using the underhooks.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Limoncello throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Angle blocks it with crossed arms.
Limoncello with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.
Limoncello throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.
Angle goes for a takedown attempt but Limoncello pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Limoncello throws a jab when Angle was well out of range.
Horrible takedown by Angle or perhaps it was just good defense by Limoncello which made him look bad.
Angle looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Ricardo Limoncello seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Angle looks gassed!
Limoncello misses with a wild body shot.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Angle fails with a takedown attempt.
Limoncello Rushes Angle and starts throwing punches like they are going out of style! Angle is up against the cage and has nowhere to go. Limoncello Piles on the pressure and Angle crumples to the floor! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ricardo Limoncello!
