Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Shinya Aoki (ranked 4421 p4p, 343 weight class) and Jason Bozzi (ranked 4325 p4p, 332 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, James Atkins and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aoki fails with the takedown.
Bozzi takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Aoki misses with a looping right.
Bozzi uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Aoki .
Aoki scores with a decent looking hook.
Aoki shoots for a double leg takedown but Bozzi sprawls well. He's pushed Aoki 's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Bozzi fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Aoki to the ground. Bozzi is now in Aoki 's guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Aoki connects with a nice short shot to Bozzi's temple.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Aoki lands a nice short elbow.
Aoki is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Bozzi is just riding it out for now. Aoki eventually gives up the hold.

Shinya Aoki overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Let's hope that Bozzi has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Aoki escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bozzi gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Aoki looking to sit in guard and control but Bozzi gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Bozzi stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Aoki swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bozzi seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Aoki seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.

Aoki working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bozzi doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Bozzi manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

I would just about give that final round to Jason Bozzi.
