Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Buffalo Bill (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hannibal Barkas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bill's entrance music is Goodbye horses. A fine choice. Barkas comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Civil war kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Robert Twigg and Gwen Towbar.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barkas throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Bill misses the jab.
Barkas slips a jab from Bill.
Barkas moves away from the strike by Bill.
Barkas tries to clinch but Bill moves out of range.
Bill thows a left - swing and a miss!

Barkas has managed to clinch.
Barkas is leaning against Bill and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Barkas goes for a takedown in the clinch but Bill prevents it.

Barkas has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Bill avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Bill throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Barkas throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Bill blocks it with crossed arms.

Bill lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

It looks like Hannibal Barkas has been cut.

Bill pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Bill loads up on a big right hand but Barkas slips the punch.
Bill looks to throw the jab but Barkas is out of range.
Bill throws a big overhand right that connects, sending Barkas tumbling to the canvas!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Bill is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Bill thows a big elbow that misses.

Barkas looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Bill sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Barkas's guard.
Bill looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Barkas with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Barkas won't allow Bill to pass to mount.

Barkas wants to improve his position but Bill is controlling well.

Barkas tries to get to full guard but Bill has control of the leg.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Barkas is looking for a sweep. Bill is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Bill throws a lazy right hand but Barkas sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

That has opened up Hannibal Barkas's cut even more.
Bill lunges at Barkas with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Barkas's hand.
Bill throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Bill gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Barkas won't allow Bill to sweep him here.

Barkas slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Bill manages to work his way to half guard, despite Barkas's best efforts.
Barkas wants to pass the guard but Bill is defending well.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bill is trying to get back to full guard.
Bill wants to control but Barkas is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Barkas passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Bill!

Barkas jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Bill is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Bill and Barkas has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Barkas is looking to take a break and control but Bill is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Bill is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Bill swings for the body but Barkas moves out of range.
Bill throws out a loose jab but Barkas uses good head movement to avoid it.
Bill connects with a nice looking jab.

The cut above Hannibal Barkas's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Barkas closes the distance and pushes Bill back into the cage.
Barkas changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Bill fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Buffalo Bill seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Barkas keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Bill throws a looping overhand right but Barkas ducks down to avoid it.

Bill misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Barkas.
Buffalo Bill is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Barkas has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Barkas there as he acknowledges the shot.

Hannibal Barkas's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
