Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Baird shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Baird decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Evans, up you get!

Evans manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Baird on his heels. He'll look to pass Baird's guard now, I'm sure.

Baird scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Evans fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Evans has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Baird avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Evans wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Evans drops down looking for an ankle pick but Baird pulls his leg out and moves away.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Evans gets caught napping as Baird dives in and scores a takedown. Evans manages to retain guard.
Evans wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Baird manages to pass to side control.

Evans shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Baird's guard.

Baird is scooting his butt against the cage and has managed to get back to his feet. Evans presses him back against the cage, presumably looking to take the fight back to the mat.

Baird closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Evans's guard.
Jordan Evans has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Baird has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Kent Baird.
Well Baird has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
