Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chase Taylor (ranked 6577 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kai Mahelona (ranked 5213 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Chase Taylor has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Chase Taylor seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A jab from Mahelona does it's job there.
Nice defenses there by Taylor.
Taylor feinted with a counter takedown.
Taylor has his takedown stuffed
and Mahelona counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Taylor looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Taylor looks for a takedown but Mahelona sprawls well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chase Taylor. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Mahelona paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
The crowd cheers as Mahelona lands an impressive looking overhand right. Taylor doesn't seem phased though.

Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Taylor will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Taylor closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Mahelona makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Mahelona darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Mahelona feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Taylors jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Taylor gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Mahelona gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Taylor is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kai Mahelona!
