Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Josh Alli!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Romeu Sokoudju!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Damien Edna and Ron Honeybunn.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sokoudju throws a head kick that misses.

Alli rushes Sokoudju and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Sokoudju tries to score a body lock takedown but Alli shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Alli definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Alli controlling the action here for a moment.
Alli lands a right hand that snaps the head of Sokoudju backwards.
Sokoudju lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Sokoudju has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Sokoudju is trying to push Alli away but Alli has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Sokoudju is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Alli is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Nice elbow from Alli.

Alli's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Nice takedown defense from Alli. No joy for Sokoudju on that attempt.
Alli throws a big counter combination but Sokoudju scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Sokoudju shoots in looking for a takedown. Alli tries to sprawl out of it but Sokoudju keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Alli manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Josh Alli has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Romeu Sokoudju.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Alli swinging wildly here.
Sokoudju keeps the fight on the outside.
Sokoudju shoots for a takedown but Alli saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Alli buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Sokoudju tries to clinch up
and Alli cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Alli has closed the distance and engaged Sokoudju in a clinch.
Sokoudju tries to break the clinch but Alli is controlling the position.

Sokoudju drags the fight down to the ground.
Alli postures up in Sokoudju's guard and throws a big left but Sokoudju blocks it.
Sokoudju controlling the position.
Alli throwing strikes but missing.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Alli wants to control from the top but Sokoudju keeps moving.
Alli pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Sokoudju is keeping the position for now.

Sokoudju is looking for a triangle but Alli pushes his legs off easily.
Alli would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sokoudju working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Alli.
Alli might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Alli throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Alli has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Sokoudju is proving hard to escape from.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Sokoudju kicks Alli off and gets to his feet.
Sokoudju takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.

Sokoudju gets a clinch.

Alli successfully pulls guard.
Sokoudju controlling from the top position.
Sokoudju throws a big elbow that misses.
Sokoudju engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Sokoudju tries to stand but Alli is controlling from the bottom.
Alli working a defensive guard here.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Josh Alli dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Sokoudju fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
A nice inside leg kick there by Sokoudju. That's going to slow Alli down.

Oooooh!!! Alli has knocked Sokoudju down with a huge combo! Alli steps away and waves a wobbly Sokoudju back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!


Sokoudju is rocked!


It looks like Romeu Sokoudju has been cut.
Alli batters Sokoudju with a massive right followed by a huge left! Sokoudju is out on his feet looking like a zombie as Alli lands a final crushing right hand to drop Sokoudju to the mat with a gruesome thud! Alli is running around like a mad man after that fight and for good reason!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:27 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Josh Alli!
