The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Klinger ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Butabi moves away.
Klinger misses with a straight left.
Butabi slips under a jab.
Butabi moves out of range of the strikes.
Butabi tries to counter with a clinch but Klinger shakes him off and moves away.
Butabi connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Klinger's hands.
Klinger swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Butabi misses with a body shot.
A big left from Klinger misses.

Klinger tries to keep at a distance but Butabi has taken the fight into the clinch.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Butabi.

Butabi's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Micheal Klinger seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Butabi looks to score with a jab to the body but Klinger is just out of range.
Butabi tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Klinger is able to avoid easily.

Butabi throws the left hand but Klinger avoids the punch easily.

Butabi takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Butabi drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Klinger scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Klinger takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Butabi throws a lazy right hand but Klinger sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Klinger keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Klinger connects with a single shot there.

Butabi drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
