The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Bruce sprawls well. Bruce wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Johnson gets slowly back to his feet.
Bruce raises up his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
A nice combination there by Bruce.
Johnson has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Johnson takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Johnson takes a body punch but keeps moving.

It looks like Boi Johnson has been cut.

A looping hook to the body misses from Bruce. Johnson does a little dance to reset his feet.
Johnson appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Johnson throws a hook to the side of Bruce's head but Bruce sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Johnson on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Bruce lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Johnson circles away quickly and effectively.
Johnson appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
A chopping leg kick lands by Bruce.
Robert Bruce is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Bruce scores with a kick to the midsection.
Johnson definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Bruce throws a head kick that Johnson semi-blocks.
Bruce feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Johnson's calf.

Johnson gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Bruce.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Bruce lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Bruce fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Bruce rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Johnson moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Robert Bruce seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A low kick from Bruce misses

and Johnson counters with a nice double leg into side control. Bruce won't be happy with that.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
An elbow from Johnson crashes against the mat.

Johnson has hold of Bruce's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Bruce tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Johnson cranks the arm and Bruce screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Bruce, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
