The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Illya Tyunina.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Temrezov defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Swanson.
Temrezov shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Swanson manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Swanson bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Temrezov's guard.

Temrezov is desperately trying to improve his position but Swanson has a good base and remains in mount.

Swanson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Kaplan Temrezov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Temrezov stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Temrezov wants it to stay on the feet.
Temrezov drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Swanson defends it well.
Swanson shoots in looking for a takedown. Temrezov tries to sprawl out of it but Swanson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Temrezov manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Temrezov lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Swanson is looking to clinch but Temrezov is avoiding it.
Temrezov moves into range and clinches up with Swanson.
Swanson is trying to drag Temrezov to the mat but Temrezov just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Temrezov is fighting off a takedown attempt but Swanson is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Temrezov to the mat. Temrezov regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Swanson is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Temrezov can do to turn this around?
Swanson looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Temrezov with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Swanson thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Kendall Swanson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Temrezov scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Temrezov is trying to control the action in half guard but Swanson is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Swanson pushes Temrezov off looking to stand but Temrezov dives back in and keeps control.

Temrezov really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Swanson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

That was a close second round but I would say that Kendall Swanson will probably get the nod.

Swanson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Temrezov is defending well here and trying to improve his position.

I really don't envy Temrezov right now.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Swanson, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
