Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Cam Miller!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Lee Kingston!
The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, Steve Montenegro and Reed Andrews.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Danga de danga de dang - Kingston scores with a four punch combination!


It looks like Cam Miller has been cut.
Kingston connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Kingston fails to land the takedown.

Miller shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Kingston is trying to defend but Miller finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Kingston has one foot on Miller's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Kingston shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Miller as he avoids it easily.
Kingston wants to clinch but Miller slips to the side

so Miller counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Miller landing with the ground and pound.
Miller is in close to Kingston's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Miller postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Miller has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Miller lands a couple of digs.
Miller is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Kingston keeping full guard, as Miller tries to pass.

Miller slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Kingston is looking for a triangle but Miller pushes his legs off easily.
Kingston looking to hit a scissor sweep but Miller is one step ahead there.
Miller content to stall in guard here.
Miller seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Kingston for as long as he can get away with.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Kingston escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Miller gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Miller is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Miller pushing down on Kingston's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Miller prevents Kingston from improving his position.
Miller is taking a breather. Kingston says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Kingston is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Kingston actively working from the bottom here.
Miller seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Kingston tries to get to full guard but Miller has control of the leg.
Miller controlling the action here.
Miller's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Miller prevents Kingston from improving his position.
Miller is looking to advance position but Kingston won't allow it.

Kingston has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Miller. Oh but Kingston has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Miller goes limp - he's gone! Kingston jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:42 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Lee Kingston!
