Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Charles Hoffman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mauro Gonzalez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Charles Hoffman has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Charles Hoffman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mauro Gonzalez!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hoffman lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Hoffman throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Gonzalez feints and as Hoffman raises his hands in defense, Gonzalez changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hoffman is on top in guard.
Gonzalez keeping moving, preventing Hoffman from controlling successfully.
Hoffman has gone for a leg lock! Gonzalez slips out almost immediately though and dives into Hoffman's guard.
Hoffman is looking for a triangle here but Gonzalez uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

Hoffman is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Gonzalez wants to pass the guard but Hoffman is defending well.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Hoffman swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Hoffman misses with an attempted mid kick.
Gonzalez instigates a clinch.
Gonzalez misses with some punches.
Gonzalez lands with a light punch inside.
A head punch on the inside from Gonzalez fails to land.
Gonzalez doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Gonzalez lands a shot to the body.
Gonzalez gets control of Hoffman's arms and successfully pulls guard. Gonzalez will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Hoffman is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Gonzalez is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Gonzalez has escaped and now he's on top!
Hoffman working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Gonzalez doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Gonzalez manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Hoffman is breathing heavily.
Gonzalez trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Gonzalez has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Hoffman to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Gonzalez is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Hoffman pulls down on the head and he's put Gonzalez to sleep! This one is all over!
