Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Nick Rowler!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Albashan Magomedrasulov!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rowler shoots in for a double leg but Magomedrasulov sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Rowler throws a series of strikes that have Magomedrasulov backpedaling.
Rowler misses with a head kick.
Rowler throws a nice outside leg kick.
Magomedrasulov tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Rowler swivels and escapes.
Rowler lands a two punch combo.
Magomedrasulov lands with an overhand left.
Rowler has a takedown stuffed.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Magomedrasulov.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Rowler tries to buck Magomedrasulov off but Magomedrasulov is having none of it.
Magomedrasulov is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Rowler's shoulder. That is not cool.

Rowler prevents Magomedrasulov from moving into mount.
Magomedrasulov looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Rowler is avoiding damage well.
Rowler can't do much from the bottom here.
Magomedrasulov wants to stand but Rowler has his arm trapped.

Rowler wants to get back to his feet but Magomedrasulov drags him back down.
Magomedrasulov really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rowler. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
A lull in the action here as Magomedrasulov stalls from top position.
Magomedrasulov tries to stand but Rowler is controlling his head.
Magomedrasulov connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Rowler some visible discomfort.
Rowler is trying to get back to half guard.
Rowler manages to get back to half guard.
Magomedrasulov missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.

Magomedrasulov seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Magomedrasulov is thwarting Rowler's attempts to control the position.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Magomedrasulov with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Rowler gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Magomedrasulov holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Rowler tries to pull guard but Magomedrasulov forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Magomedrasulov shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Rowler but Rowler pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Jab, jab by Magomedrasulov - just one landing.
Rowler fails to land the takedown.
Magomedrasulov clobbers Rowler with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Rowler tries to clinch there but Magomedrasulov circles away.

Magomedrasulov changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Rowler looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
This has been an exciting period of action!

You can see the frustration on Rowler's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Albashan Magomedrasulov dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Rowler misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Magomedrasulov has closed the distance and engaged Rowler in a clinch.

Rowler changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Magomedrasulov fights it off and pushes away nicely.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Magomedrasulov moves into the clinch.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.

Magomedrasulov has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Rowler is trying to keep an underhook but Magomedrasulov manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Magomedrasulov has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

It looks like Magomedrasulov is going to stand back up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rowler wants to get back to his feet.
Magomedrasulov looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Magomedrasulov tries to stand but his hand is stuck under Rowler.
Magomedrasulov working over Rowler with some ground and pound. Rowler looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Rowler wants to get back to full guard.
Magomedrasulov looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Rowler misses with a takedown

and Magomedrasulov counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Rowler!


Rowler is rocked!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Magomedrasulov is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Rowler knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Oh Rowler is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Magomedrasulov is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

Magomedrasulov landing a few strikes.
The referee asks Magomedrasulov politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Magomedrasulov prefers to stall for the moment though.

Magomedrasulov decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Albashan Magomedrasulov seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Magomedrasulov turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!

Rowler takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Magomedrasulov grinds an elbow into Rowler's temple.

Magomedrasulov has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Rowler drops his hands for a split second and Magomedrasulov immediately capitalizes on the opportunity by smashing a powerful hook into Rowler face, sending his mouthguard sailing through the air, much to the delight of the crowd. Magomedrasulov follows up with a right hand that knocks Rowler into next week. He's out cold and this fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:26 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Albashan Magomedrasulov!
