Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Arthur Aslanyan (ranked 3249 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gilberto Tanquinho (ranked 7843 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tanquinho scores with a takedown into Aslanyan's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Tanquinho throws an elbow that misses. Aslanyan uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Tanquinho's guard. Nice move by Aslanyan!

Aslanyan is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

Tanquinho is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Aslanyan defends well.

Aslanyan knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Tanquinho on the ground.

Aslanyan stands up over Tanquinho, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Tanquinho has momentary wrist control but Aslanyan slips an elbow through the middle.

Tanquinho is rocked!

Aslanyan gets to his feet and stands over Tanquinho, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Tanquinho felt that one! Aslanyan unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Tanquinho from any more punishment!
