Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Ray Ramano!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Young Lad!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Winston Alpacca and Dirk Anderson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ramano darts in looking for a takedown but Lad gets double underhooks and turns Ramano into the cage.
Lad looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Ramano definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Lad tries to clinch but Ramano moves out of range.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Ramano is defended easily by Lad.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lad scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ramano on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Lad swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Ramano half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.

Ramano closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Ramano remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Ramano is trying to get an arm triangle but Lad is defending well.
Lad is trying to control Ramano's posture but Ramano avoids it.

Ramano fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Lad is working to avoid the ground and pound but Ramano connects with a decent elbow.

Ramano is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Lad is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Lad tries to buck Ramano off but Ramano is having none of it.
Lad is working to avoid the ground and pound but Ramano connects with a decent elbow.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ramano wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Lad, who protects the arm well.

Ramano is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Lad is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Ramano works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ramano is looking to take a break and control but Lad is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Ramano has hold of Lad's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Lad seems comfortable defending it but Ramano has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Lad is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Lad is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Ramano couldn't care less - he's delighted!

During a confident post fight interview, Ray Ramano thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
