Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Franky Perez (ranked 2782 p4p, 291 weight class) and Black Guy (ranked 3115 p4p, 324 weight class). Guy is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Prince of Bel-Air. Franky Perez had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Perez takes one to the side of the head.
Perez takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Perez displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Guy throws out the jab.
Perez definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Perez takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Guy lands with a nice body punch.
Perez uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Guy.

Black Guy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Perez is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Guy's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.

Guy might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Guy swings and misses with a hook to the body.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Guy swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Guy cracks Perez with an open hand slap.

Guy feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Perez sprawling to the canvas! Perez rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Guy finish him?!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Black Guy dominated that round.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
