Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The judges for this bout are Ron Honeybunn, Chris Dean and Donatello Bradman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice body kick there by Scorpio.
Scorpio tests Mcpherson's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Scorpio rushes Mcpherson and presses him up against the cage.
Scorpio's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

The crowd are getting on Scorpio's back here. They're not happy about his lack of aggression in the clinch.

Mcpherson jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Scorpio walks away with a smile on his face. Mcpherson gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Scorpio feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Mcpherson's calf.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sloppy strikes from Scorpio. Those never looked like landing.
Mcpherson appears to be looking for a big counter.

Scorpio gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Mcpherson blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Mcpherson is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Scorpio to keep the fight standing.
Mcpherson tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Mcpherson tries to pull guard but Scorpio won't allow it.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.

Scorpio breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Scorpio closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Mcpherson has Scorpio pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Scorpio manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Mcpherson tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Scorpio smiles and moves away.
Scorpio scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

It looks like Boris Mcpherson has been cut.

Mcpherson gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Scorpio regains guard.

Scorpio has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Mcpherson has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Scorpio takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Scorpio lands a good knee to the midsection. Mcpherson won't want to take too many of those.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Scorpio manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Scorpio lands a good knee to the midsection. Mcpherson won't want to take too many of those.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Scorpio is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Still in the clinch, Scorpio scores with a nice short uppercut.


Mcpherson is rocked!
Scorpio lands a big right hand that drops Mcpherson! The killer instinct kicks in and Scorpio finishes his opponent with a series of strikes from mount. A dominating finish by Scorpio!
