The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Torres swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Torres connects with a nice looking jab.
Torres throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Trabowski sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Trabowski half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Torres fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Trabowski manages to avoid it.

Trabowski gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Torres prevents a body shot from Trabowski.
Torres blocks a body shot from Trabowski.
Trabowski gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Torres.
Torres goes for a takedown attempt but Trabowski pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Torres closes this distance looking for a takedown but Trabowski circles away.
Jakub Trabowski has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ricco Torres.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Torres has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Trabowski has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Torres finds it's way round the side to connect with Trabowski's head.
Trabowski is looking to clinch but Torres is avoiding it.
A little jabbing left from Torres on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

Trabowski has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Torres uses from the top position.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Trabowski holds on and takes a little breather.

Torres bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Trabowski's guard.

Trabowski is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Torres throws a strike but Trabowski rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Trabowski gets to his feet - Torres follows without any prompting.
Torres fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Trabowski avoids it really well and circles away.

Trabowski drops down looking for a counter takedown but Torres sprawls and moves away.
Trabowski throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Torres.

Torres looks to score with a jab to the body but Trabowski is just out of range.

and Torres counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Trabowski!
Trabowski holds on tight, trying to prevent any damage.

Torres thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Torres misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Trabowski is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Trabowski wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Torres trying to control the position but Trabowski is working away.

Torres tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Torres has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Torres wants to lay and pray for a moment but Trabowski keeps working.

That was a close round but I would say that Jakub Trabowski will probably get the nod.

Trabowski drops down looking for an ankle pick but Torres pulls his leg out and moves away.
Trabowski doesn't manage to clinch there - Torres circles away.

Trabowski displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Torres throws out the jab.
Torres's jab looks to have found its range, popping Trabowski under the eye.
Trabowski goes for a small jab and connects. Now Trabowski goes in closer pressing the issue. Left hook, right straight! Torres stumbles back but Trabowski runs in with a huge uppercut knocking Torres to the ground! What a finish! You have to wonder if Torres will ever be the same after a knockout like that.
