Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bill Lapointe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Carter comes to the ring accompanied by La Roux - In For The Kill. Lapointe has chosen Don't Drink The Water as his entrance music. On his way into the ring it seems that Mike Carter has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Mike Carter seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Bill Lapointe!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Tarja Halkonen and Johanna Lukiainen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carter misses with a two punch combination.
Mike Carter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lapointe slips a jab and a cross from Carter.
Lapointe throws a shot from downtown. Carter moves away and avoids it.

Lapointe gets the takedown into side control.
Carter is not content to let Lapointe control the position.

Lapointe is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Carter is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Carter tries to improve position but can't.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Lapointe lands a few punches from side control.

Lapointe is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Carter has escaped the position, nice work there.
Carter tries to escape but Lapointe is in control.
Lapointe in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Lapointe has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Lapointe thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Carter is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.

Carter trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

Lapointe tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Lapointe has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Lapointe is looking to take a break and control but Carter is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Lapointe tries to move into full mount but can't pass Carter's legs.

Lapointe thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Carter is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the ropes but Lapointe has just dragged him back down to the mat.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Lapointe has hold of Carter's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Carter seems comfortable defending it but Lapointe has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Carter is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Carter is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Lapointe couldn't care less - he's delighted!
