Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cam Miller (ranked 8522 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jabari Perkins (ranked 7438 p4p, 0 weight class). Jabari Perkins will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jabari Perkins !
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Russell Pearce and Jorge Garcia.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Miller leaves Perkins with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Miller throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Perkins was covering up waiting for the punch and Miller finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Miller passes Perkins 's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Miller is taking a breather. Perkins says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Miller working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Perkins makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Perkins .
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Perkins is looking for a sweep.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Miller remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Perkins really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Miller. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Miller scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Perkins to see if he's OK.
Miller cracks Perkins with an elbow. That is naaassty.

Miller has hold of Perkins 's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Perkins seems comfortable defending it but Miller has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Perkins is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Perkins is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Miller couldn't care less - he's delighted!
