Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bryon Mccarty (ranked 6073 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Reese (ranked 4625 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bryon Mccarty!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Reese!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Stewart Dunkirk and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reese avoids the head kick by Mccarty.

Reese moves into the clinch.

Mccarty gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Reese regains guard.
Reese looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mccarty with a nice head shot there.

Mccarty is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Mccarty gets to his feet. Reese looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Reese shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Mccarty napping and manages to drive through into side control!
A bit of a lull in the action here.
Mccarty's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Mccarty is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Reese's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Reese takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Reese is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Mccarty sees it coming and defends easily.

Reese is trying to control. Mccarty wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Mccarty regains full guard. Nicely done.
Mccarty throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Mccarty wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Reese fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Mccarty has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

Reese has closed the distance and engaged Mccarty in a clinch.

Reese turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!

Mccarty is trying to maintain the position but Reese is very close to passing his half guard.

Reese is trying to work for a kimura but Mccarty is defending well.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Mccarty is staying active underneath Reese, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

John Reese dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.



Reese feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Reese is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Reese has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Reese wanted to stand there but Mccarty had control of the position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Reese misses with a body kick.
It looked like Mccarty was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Bryon Mccarty is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Reese throws a right hand that Mccarty ducks under and follows up with a left that Mccarty also avoids with ease.

A frustrated look appears on Mccarty's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Bryon Mccarty has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
John Reese is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Mccarty fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

John Reese comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Reese has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
