Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Billy West (ranked 619 p4p, 91 weight class) and Alasdair Thacker (ranked 1129 p4p, 166 weight class). West comes to the cage accompanied by Rebelution - So High. Billy West had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 206.0lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thacker throws a combination but it was largely blocked by West.
West with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Thacker connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed West momentarily.
Thacker avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
West lands with a cross.
West throws a front kick aimed at Thacker's knee but Thacker avoids it well.

Thacker looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Thacker lands with a hook. West tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
West throws a right hand that misses
enabling Thacker to counter with a crisp jab.

Thacker throws a right hand that West ducks under and follows up with a left that West also avoids with ease.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

West shoots in looking for a takedown but Thacker manages to keep the fight standing, pushing West's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

West decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Thacker is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but West pulls his head out easily.

The fighters are battling for position here. Thacker manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
West throws a big right hand that misses.
West lands a couple of digs.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Thacker is on top in guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
West utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Thacker trying to control the position from guard on top but West is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
West is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Thacker throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
West has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

West manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
West blocks a body shot from Thacker.

Thacker looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

It looks like Billy West has been cut.
West's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Thacker escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Oh West is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
West ducks under a wild hook from Thacker.
West loads up on a big right hand but Thacker slips the punch.
West seems to have got his legs back now.
West gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Thacker.
Thacker throws out a leg kick but West moves out of range and Thacker only half commits.
Thacker drops a shoulder and throws an uppercut that cracks West right on the button. West goes down! Thacker follows him to the mat and finishes the job with more strikes! Thacker gets the win via TKO!
