Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Patrick Alders and Aafke Stam.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jims thows a left - swing and a miss!

Kucherov throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Jims was covering up waiting for the punch and Kucherov finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Kucherov is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Kucherov seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
It looks like Kucherov might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Jims wants to sweep but no luck.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kucherov throwing strikes but missing.
Kucherov looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

Jims can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Kucherov controls the pace.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Jims moves into range and clinches up with Kucherov.
Jims lands an elbow inside.

It looks like Alexei Kucherov has been cut.

Kucherov avoids a wild elbow strike from Jims.
Jims creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Kucherov's defenses.
Kucherov tries to pull guard but Jims forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Jims working the clinch nicely. Kucherov is working for position but Jims cracks him with a big knee to the head! Kucherov crumples up against the cage and Jims lands two more shots before the ref can save Kucherov! This one is all over!
