The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Foxon looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Dawson is fending him off so far but Foxon persists. Nope, Dawson circles away and we're back to standing.
Dawson fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Foxon manages to avoid it.
Foxon dodges the punch combination from Dawson.

Foxon shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Dawson manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Dawson pushes Foxon off and scrambles back to his feet.
Dawson fails in his attempt to clinch.
Dawson throws a left and a right that both miss

and Foxon counters with a nice double leg into side control. Dawson won't be happy with that.
Dawson is looking to get back to his feet here but Foxon is keeping cool and he's managed to take Dawson's back.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Dawson really is a fat lump.
Dawson tries to escape the position.
Dawson just trying to survive but Foxon is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.

Foxon misses with a punch to the head.
Foxon biding his time, controlling Dawson.
Foxon doesn't have the hooks in and Dawson manages to turn into his guard.

Foxon is looking for a triangle but Dawson pushes his legs off easily.
Dawson has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Foxon is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Foxon wants to stand up but Dawson is controlling him.

Foxon has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Dawson can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Dawson is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Dawson keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

It looks like Grant Foxon has been cut.
Dawson pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Dawson buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Dawson slips under a jab.
Dawson doesn't manage to clinch there - Foxon circles away.
Dawson swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Dawson tries to clinch but Foxon is having none of it.
Dawson just misses with a punch to the body.
Foxon tries to counter by closing the distance.
Dawson fails with an attempt to clinch.

Dawson lands a big head kick that sends Foxon tumbling to the mat! Dawson takes a step backwards and waves Foxon back to his feet - he wants the finish!
