And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Christofear Langston!
The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Langston, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Langston bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Langston rushes Gray and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Langston breaks from the clinch.
Langston dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
A nice inside leg kick there by Langston. That's going to slow Gray down.
Langston connects with a crisp jab.

Langston closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Gray tries to pull guard but Langston won't allow it.
Langston prevents the takedown attempt.
Gray tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Gray gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Langston to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Gray has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Langston is working away from the top position though.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Langston takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Christofear Langston has got the better of the ground game so far.

Langston is looking for a kimura but Gray is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Langston to get the leverage.
Langston is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Gray tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Langston has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
Gray knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Langston on the ground.
Langston takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Langston is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Langston avoids the attempt from Gray to control.

Let's hope that Langston has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Langston is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Gray to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Gray shrugs it off.

Gray is in a horrible position here. Langston smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Langston tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Langston shoots in and drives through. Gray sprawls well.

As Langston looks to move away, Gray throws a big counter combo but Langston just gets out of the way.

Gray feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Well Langston has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
