Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Daren Wooten (ranked 25005 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mick ODowd (ranked 5897 p4p, 0 weight class). Mick ODowd will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

It looks like Daren Wooten has been cut.
Wooten gets tackled into the cage by ODowd. ODowd maintains the clinch.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
ODowd wants to break the clinch but can't.
ODowd ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. ODowd no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Wooten engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Wooten postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Wooten has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Wooten drops back looking for a leg! ODowd is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and ODowd manages to kick Wooten off! Wooten jumps back into ODowd's guard.

ODowd is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

ODowd really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Wooten. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

ODowd throws a head kick but Wooten moves out of range.
ODowd fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Wooten avoids it really well and circles away.
Wooten has managed to clinch.

Wooten has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed ODowd clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Wooten controlling the position well here. ODowd rolled but Wooten kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
You can see the frustration on ODowd's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

ODowd is trying to remain composed but Wooten is hammering down strikes to the side of his head.

Wooten really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for ODowd.
Wooten looking to break ODowd's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. ODowd remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Wooten will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

Wooten's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
