Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Taylor (ranked 6031 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ben Nguyen (ranked 9130 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Ben Nguyen was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Russell Pearce and Anthony Taglia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Nguyen is defended easily by Taylor.
Taylor throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Nguyen tries to clinch there but Taylor circles away.
Nguyen fails to land the takedown.
Taylor forces Nguyen back against the cage and clinches.
Nguyen decides to pull guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Taylor gets to his feet. Nguyen looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Taylor's corner calls for a 1-2. Taylor obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Taylor changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Nguyen looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Nguyen is looking to get back to his feet here but Taylor is keeping cool and he's managed to take Nguyen 's back.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Taylor has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Nguyen ! Can he survive? No! He's out! Taylor gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
