Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Errol Santos!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Test One!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, David Schapiro and Bruno Lombardi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Santos shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. One is trying to defend but Santos finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
One is concentrating on defense, preventing Santos from advancing position.
One wants to get back to full guard.
Santos content to control rather than advance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
One has a hand on Santos's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Santos takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
Santos looking to control but One is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

One looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

One is trying to avoid being dragged into an even worse position than he's already in but Santos is staying active.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Santos is looking to control One but One is wriggling around and keeping busy.
One wants to control his opponent's hands but Santos gets his hands free.
One might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Santos haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Santos just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Santos is persistently looking for the submission but One is defending it well.
One tries to escape but Santos has the hooks in and won't let him break free.

One tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Santos rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Santos takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
One misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Santos ducks down and throws a hook to the body but One moves away.
One checks a low kick from Santos.

One closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Santos's guard.

One seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Santos is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
One lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
One would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
One's corner is telling him to maintain position.
One tries to free his leg and advance position but Santos is retaining full guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Santos is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. One is aware though and is defending well.
One looking to pass the guard.
One must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Santos has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. One is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.
Santos jumps guard but One stands there with Santos around his waist. Santos gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

One pulls guard effortlessly.
One looking to hit a scissor sweep but Santos is one step ahead there.
One looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Santos is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

One has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Santos is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for One.
You can see the frustration on One's face as Santos controls the position.

Santos can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as One is looking to escape.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Santos manages to capitalize on a mistake by One to take his back!
Santos keeps control of the position as One tries to break free.
One is still trying to improve position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Santos is hanging on to One's back as he tries to escape.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Errol Santos will probably get the nod.
That's time! Back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Santos is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that One can do to turn this around?

Santos pushes One off and gets back to his feet.

One drives through and clinches with Santos against the cage.
Santos fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Santos tries to pull guard but One holds him up against the cage and eventually Santos drops back down to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Errol Santos. That's going to take a lot out of him.

One escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Santos gets caught flat footed, as One shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Santos working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. One doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. One manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Santos throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
One wanted to stand there but Santos had control of the position.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Santos has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but One has passed into side control.
Santos wants to get back to his feet but One drags him back down.

One is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Santos has escaped the position, nice work there.

One thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Test One has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Errol Santos is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Errol Santos.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Santos, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
