And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Bobby Shmurda!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Sam Margolis and Phil Schofield.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Shmurda fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Kennedy to the ground. Shmurda is now in Kennedy's guard.
Kennedy looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Shmurda puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Kennedy is trying to maintain the position but Shmurda is very close to passing his half guard.
Kennedy is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Shmurda's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Shmurda's back!
Kennedy really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Shmurda swings around for an armbar but Kennedy sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Shmurda's guard.

Kennedy is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Kennedy got a little sloppy there for a moment and Shmurda has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kennedy has managed to get both his arms back between Shmurda's legs - danger averted.

Kennedy decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Shmurda, up you get!

Bobby Shmurda showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Kennedy gets caught napping as Shmurda dives in and scores a takedown. Kennedy manages to retain guard.

Shmurda throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Kennedy tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Shmurda is in Kennedy's guard.

Kennedy wriggles free and stands up.

Shmurda clinches with his opponent.

Kennedy manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Shmurda drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Kennedy dives on top into guard.


Shmurda has his foot on Kennedy's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kennedy works his way back into a safe position though.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Shmurda throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Kennedy was covering up waiting for the punch and Shmurda finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Kennedy is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Kennedy has hold of one of Shmurda's legs. Shmurda is fighting the takedown attempt but Kennedy gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Kennedy decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
