Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Saulo Chavez (ranked 6263 p4p, 0 weight class) and Henry Motts (ranked 7373 p4p, 0 weight class). Saulo Chavez could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Henry Motts's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Henry Motts!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chavez uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Motts.
Motts stuffs the takedown.

Chavez jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Motts manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Motts tries to bench press Chavez off him but Chavez keeps the position.
Motts manages to work his way to half guard, despite Chavez's best efforts.

Chavez is working for a kimura but Motts is defending it quite comfortably.
Chavez wants to control but Motts is keeping him busy.
Motts desperately trying to maintain half guard.
Motts should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Motts is pressing down on Chavez's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Chavez wants to work for an arm triangle but Motts is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Motts is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Chavez pulls his head out easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Chavez looks for a takedown but Motts sprawls well.
Chavez looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Motts shoots in and bounces Chavez off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Motts lands a couple of decent looking shots.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Chavez is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Motts sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Chavez looking to hit a scissor sweep but Motts is one step ahead there.

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Motts is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Chavez misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Motts misses with a low kick.
Motts misses with an uppercut.
Chavez misses with a takedown attempt - Motts sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Motts drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Chavez defends it well.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Chavez, as that shot connected.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Chavez fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

and Motts counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Henry Motts showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

As Motts looks to move away, Chavez throws a big counter combo but Motts just gets out of the way.
Motts pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Motts has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Chavez staying out of range there.
Chavez drops down looking for a counter takedown but Motts sprawls and moves away.
Chavez misses with a series of wild punches.
Chavez shoots in for a double leg but Motts sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Chavez shoots in but Motts avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Motts scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.

Chavez tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Motts paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Chavez uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Motts.
Chavez tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Motts manages to circle out of the way.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Motts breaks Chavez's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.
Chavez will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Motts passes Chavez's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Still in half guard, Motts seems content to control.
Chavez is trying to maintain the position but Motts is very close to passing his half guard.
Motts passes the guard and advances to mount!
Motts avoids the attempt from Chavez to control.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Chavez is trying desperately to improve position.
Saulo Chavez has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Henry Motts comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Motts has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
