PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Josh Wade (ranked 2713 p4p, 352 weight class) and Fernando Eduardo (ranked 1980 p4p, 276 weight class). Wade comes to the cage accompanied by 2Pac - Hail Mary. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Josh Wade!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Fernando Eduardo!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Alan Glass and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Eduardo throws a nice looking combination but Wade bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Eduardo really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Wade. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Eduardo felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Wade goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Eduardo rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Wade's guard! Nice work there by Eduardo!

Eduardo looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Wade has picked Eduardo up and slammed him! Eduardo can't keep hold of the triangle and Wade manages to pass to side control!

That was a close second round but I would say that Josh Wade will probably get the nod.

Wade dives in and grabs Eduardo's left leg, looking for a takedown. Eduardo pushes down on Wade's head and hops out.
As Wade backs off Eduardo throws a huge counter combo but Wade manages to avoid it all.

Nice defenses there by Wade.

Eduardo has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

Eduardo lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Fernando Eduardo comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Wade has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
