Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fernando Pittman (ranked 6002 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hawk Stephenson (ranked 25495 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Fernando Pittman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Hawk Stephenson!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Fedor Mirinova and Dmitry Maklakov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pittman swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Stephenson counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Stephenson throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Pittman appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.

Pittman closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Pittman prevents Stephenson from improving his position.
Pittman content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
Stephenson is looking for a sweep. Pittman is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Pittman stands up and beckons Stephenson to join him on the feet.
Stephenson misses with a takedown attempt - Pittman sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Stephenson enables Pittman to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Stephenson manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Pittman is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Pittman lands a couple of digs.
Pittman is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Pittman decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Stephenson, up you get!
Pittman takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Stephenson tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Pittman swivels and escapes.

Stephenson gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Stephenson doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Stephenson can't keep his opponent in guard - Pittman advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Stephenson rushes Pittman and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Pittman can't find room to land a body shot as Stephenson controls the action.

Stephenson breaks the clinch.

Pittman gets a double leg takedown into Stephenson's guard.

Pittman's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Pittman postures up.

Stephenson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Pittman can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Pittman sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Stephenson's guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Pittman looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Pittman drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Stephenson feints the counter takedown.

Pittman throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Stephenson tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Pittman is in Stephenson's guard.

Pittman is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Stephenson can do to turn this around?

Pittman is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Pittman is taking a breather. Stephenson says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Pittman tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Stephenson avoids it.

Pittman wants to take the fight to the mat but Stephenson manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Stephenson pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Stephenson uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Pittman.

Pittman shoots in and bounces Stephenson off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Stephenson has hold of Pittman's hands but Pittman slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Pittman slows the pace down in half guard.

Pittman is working for a submission of some sort.
Pittman with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.

Pittman seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Stephenson for as long as he can get away with.
Pittman has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Fernando Pittman overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Stephenson tries to roll over but Pittman keeps him under control.

Stephenson is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Pittman pulls his head out easily.

Pittman tries to land knees in the clinch but Stephenson avoids the damage to the body.
Stephenson is trying to stall.
Pittman has Stephenson pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Stephenson manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Pittman misses with a hook to the ribs.

Pittman gets control of Stephenson's arms and successfully pulls guard. Pittman will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Pittman bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Stephenson's guard.
