The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Martinez throws a series of punches but Davimenikov avoids them all with ease.

Davimenikov has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Martinez uses from the top position.

Let's hope that Davimenikov has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Martinez closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Martinez has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Davimenikov after a bit of a struggle.

Davimenikov sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Martinez's guard.

Davimenikov is looking for a kimura but Martinez is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Davimenikov to get the leverage.

That was a close round but I would say that Steven Martinez will probably get the nod.

Tahjet Davimenikov comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Davimenikov has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
