Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Shawn MacArthur (ranked 3616 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ben Nguyen (ranked 25488 p4p, 0 weight class). Ben Nguyen will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

MacArthur forces Nguyen back against the cage and clinches.
Nguyen wants a takedown.

MacArthur gets control of Nguyen 's arms and successfully pulls guard. MacArthur will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Nguyen postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! MacArthur is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Nguyen , into his guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Nguyen has hold of MacArthur's hands but MacArthur slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

MacArthur changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Nguyen looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

MacArthur is landing with some decent strikes but Nguyen is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
