Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Phil Arcuri (ranked 2656 p4p, 293 weight class) and Peter Batts (ranked 1268 p4p, 160 weight class). Batts comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Midnight City - By: M83 kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Batts on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Arcuri. Arcuri obviously looking to wear him down.
Batts fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Arcuri manages to avoid it.
Arcuri motions for Batts to come forward. Arcuri throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Batts has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

I would just about give that final round to Peter Batts.
Well Batts has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Peter Batts tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
