Samson moves into the clinch.

Samson clinches up with Patterson and pushes him back against the cage.
Samson lands a shoulder strike.

It looks like Lester Patterson has been cut.

An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Samson.

Patterson closes the distance and pushes Samson back into the cage.

Patterson has hold of one of Samson's legs. Samson is fighting the takedown attempt but Patterson gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

Samson fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Patterson, pushing him back against the cage.
Samson swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Samson lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Patterson backwards.
Samson throws a punch but it's blocked by Patterson.

Patterson closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

Patterson pulls guard.
Samson trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Samson postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Patterson wants to sweep but no luck.

Patterson wants to stand but Samson is controlling the position.

Samson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Samson postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Patterson covers up, he's hurt! Samson keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Samson and the ref steps in to end the fight! Samson can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
