Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Leonardo Costa (ranked 6094 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bon Dones (ranked 3335 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Bon Dones!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Bart Greer and Santiago Holmes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dones just misses with a punch to the body.
Costa fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Dones avoids it really well and circles away.
Dones with the counter takedown but Costa avoids it easily.
Dones swings for the body but Costa moves out of range.
Costa drops down looking for a counter takedown but Dones sprawls and moves away.
Costa closes the distance and clinches up with Dones, looking for a takedown. Costa pushes Dones against the cage but Dones circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Costa darts in looking for a takedown but Dones gets double underhooks and turns Costa into the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Leonardo Costa. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Dones throws a sloppy head kick and Costa moves out of range easily.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Dones has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Costa has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Dones is working away from the top position though.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Dones connects with a nice short shot to Costa's temple.

Dones is nestled in close to Costa, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Dones lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked Costa! More strikes land and this one is all over! Dones jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!
